On our way, we stopped by this cool place, "Como". I got a bottle of water and a croissant. This was my second time there. We stopped here last Friday, on our way to San Lorenzo del Escorial. I just think it's so cute and nice.
We got to see snow up on the mountains! It is so pretty. It was so nice to see snow again. I kind of missed it.
We made our way up to the castle, called El Alcázar, meaning fortress in Arabic.
This castle is what inspired Cinderella's castle of Disney. We went inside and got a tour of many rooms inside. I love the ceilings! They are so intricately adorned with beautiful colors.
We also got to go up to the top of the tower. There are one hundred ninety-two steps! We got lots of fun pictures up there, and then we walked back down the super cool spiral staircase.
Then, we walked to the famous aqueduct of Segovia. It is incredibly huge and amazing! It was built around the first century!
This is the beautiful Gothic-style cathedral of Segovia.
This is the roman aqueduct! There is no cement or any type of glue used to hold it together. I don't know how that works. The stones are just held together by gravity?! Crazy!
Then, we rode the bus back to Toledo! When we got back to Toledo, I captured a photo of this beautiful sky.
Today was simply incredible. I would love to go back to Segovia someday and explore even more. It is such a neat little city.
Kthnxbai!
Omg this is so pretty! Old architecture is amazing! And I didn't know that was the inspiration for Cinderella's castle. That's so neat!
