The next morning, we got up early and left the hostel. It was a decent hostel. Not as nice as my mom's hostel in Toledo, but it was okay. This was the terrace though! And the stairway made it seem like a treehouse!
After we checked out, I played the ukulele they had there. It was so fun!
We waled around a bit, then found the wall of "I Love You", or Le Mur de Je T'aime. It says "I love you" in 250 languages! I found it in Italian, Spanish, French, and Portuguese. I tried to find "Mahal kita", "I love you" in Tagalog, but I couldn't find it! I remember my Lola and I would say it to each other before we hung up on the phone.
Then, we got a taxi to a boulangerie called Du Pain et Des Idées. There was a line outside of the door! Apparently, it won an award in 2012 for the best croissant in Paris.
We got one butter croissant, a chocolate croissant, and I got a hot chocolate, or un chocolat chaud. Guys, I think this was the best hot chocolate I have ever drunk, and I've tried many hot chocolates. It was so creamy and not too rich and sweet. It was so comforting int he cold too.
Hot chocolate makes me so happy... especially this one.
Paris is so beautiful, even in the rainy, cold weather.
Next, we got a taxi and the driver dropped us off at the foot of the Eiffel Tower! What?! Was I still dreaming in the hostel? No, I think this really happened...
We got a ham and cheese crêpe near the Eiffel tower and walked around. It was so delicious. But, your crêpes are still the best, Daddy. Don't' worry.
I love this picture. Fall trees in Paris.
And this one.
We got a snack at the airport at Cojean, a fancy little café that sells coffee, yogurt, salads, and sandwiches.
My mama was excited to have another cute little jar for her collection.
On the plane, I talked to the man next to me, Zachary, who spoke French and a little bit of English. It was hard because I speak English and a little bit of French. It was fun though. He was nice. He said he was going to Madrid to go to a soccer game with friends and explore. I learned some French words and practiced speaking French. When I left the United States, I spoke Spanish on the flight to a man from Colombia who was visiting some friends in Spain. This time, I got to speak French! How cool is that?
After the flight, we took the metro, took a bus, and arrived at Toledo! And then, we slept.
Kthnxbai!
