The Greatest Surprise

This weekend was awesome, but by Sunday, I was ready to get back to Toledo. I wanted to be able to do laundry, take a nap, see my roommates, and have good, easy, free (sorta) food given to me again.

For breakfast, we went to a gluten-free bakery we saw the other day, called Celicioso, and Dunkin' Donuts. Our friend in our group, Maggie, can't have gluten, so this was perfect for her! She was super excited! Everything looked so delicious, so I ordered a piece of banana bread. It was amazing and impressive, especially because it is gluten-free!

After eating breakfast, we went to the metro station to take the metro to the bus station to get back to Toledo. We spotted a mini-library in the metro. So cool!!

The bus was nice. It felt like we were on an airplane.

About an hour later, we arrived in Toledo! My friend, Lauren, and I walked back to the foundation.

Once we arrived, I told Mari all about the weekend in Madrid. Then, I did laundry and took a nap. We all went to eat dinner at 8:30. It was so delicious. I was so happy to be back. I had pork, veggies, and of course, bread.

About ten minutes after I sat down, I was wearing a sash and everyone was singing "Cumpleaños Feliz" to me. The best part was: Mari set a tiramisu ice cream cake in front of me with lit candles on top! Honestly, I was so excited about dinner and hungry, that all of the singing scared me. But, it was so awesome! My friends are so amazing!

This cake was so good. So good!

Then, we all decided on watching a movie. They let me pick what movie to watch. Our friend, Ninoshka has a ton of movies on her laptop, and she called out which ones she had. The first thing she said was "The Greatest Showman", and I said, "Yes!". She didn't have to say the rest. I knew what to pick already. I'd only seen it once, and had been meaning to watch it again this summer, but missed my chance. It was so fun and perfect. Those of us who stayed until the end, my true friends, (just kidding) sang along and danced to every song. It was incredible.

I still can't believe Mari bought candles a birthday sash, asked our chef to provide the cake, and got everyone to sing for me. So sweet.

Now, I have to face reality. I have classes this week.

 Kthnxbai!
